In recent years an increasing part of my practice has been working with individuals who have found that their approach to establishing and deepening personal and business relationships has suffered to the point that their career potential and enjoyment of life is being limited by the lack of an extended network of reliable and productive relationships. The proliferation of networking organizations and events seems to have supported a tendency towards what I call ‘shallow-water’ associations.
